Juan Carlos Solines Moreno has been a firm lawyer and partner since 1996. He completed postgraduate studies at world-class universities in the United States of America, including Harvard and George Washington University, obtaining master’s degrees in matters related to Intellectual Property, New Technologies, and Public Administration.

Throughout his years of professional practice, he has become a national point of reference in the fields of Telecommunications, Internet and New Technologies, Communication, and Media. Among his long list of recognitions, he has presided over Ecuador’s highest regulatory authority of telecommunications, and on the international stage, was appointed by the UN as one of 40 world experts on Governance and the Internet. He is Counsel for Ecuador’s largest technology and media companies, as well as for major multinational corporations, which he has successfully advised thanks to his vast knowledge and wide-ranging expertise. He has been an advocate for freedom of expression and communication, representing the country in national and international forums. He has provided technical and legal input in the discussion and enactment of major legislation in the country on technology and communication matters. He has an outstanding political career, having held significant public positions within the country and established himself as a prominent national leader.
