As founding partner at SOLINES & ASOCIADOS ABOGADOS, she has led the Labor Law and Social Security Department. She was appointed as Second Notary Public of Quito and is a Member of the Ecuadorian Academy of Lawyers. 

She was the first woman to be elected as Dean of a Law School at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador). She has been a professor at the same institution for over 45 years, where she was also President of the Faculty Association. She is the Coordinator and first President of the Association of Law Schools of Ecuador. She is the co-founder and first Vice-President of the Association of Latin American Law Schools AFEIDAL (Association of Law Schools in Latin America) and currently serves as President of its Honor Commission. 

Today, she is a member of the Comisión Nacional Anticorrupción del Ecuador (CNA) (National Anticorruption Commission of Ecuador).
